Faculty of Fine Arts Art Gallery hosted the solo ceramic and glass exhibition “Blue Voyage” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fidan Tonza Helvacıkara from the Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Ceramics and Glass.

Organized within the scope of Contributing to Social Life and OMÜ’s 50th Anniversary events, the exhibition was opened to art enthusiasts on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 4:00 PM

The exhibition, featuring works created from recycled ceramic and glass materials, explores the concept of the Blue Voyage, a tradition along the Aegean coast, as a reflection of the historical and cultural relationship with the sea. The works, centered around the amphora form, symbolically represent labor, thought, and emotions carried across the seas, while the combination of glass and ceramics creates a spatial experience through light, rhythm, and surface.

Beyond its aesthetic presentation, the “Blue Voyage” exhibition draws attention by inviting viewers into a reflective process within the context of cultural heritage and environmental awareness. In this way, the exhibition highlights the university’s mission to connect artistic production with social life.

The exhibition can be visited at the OMU Faculty of Fine Arts Art Gallery until December 26, 2025.
