Seçkin Çoban, a fourth-year student of the Painting Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Ondokuz Mayıs University, was awarded an Exhibition Award at the 75th TSKB Contemporary Art Competition, organized this year by the Industrial Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB) under the theme “From the Roots to Today, Towards the Future through Art.”__
The competition, held with the aim of supporting the artistic production of young artists and encouraging the creation of new works in the field of contemporary art, attracted applications from 579 young artists affiliated with 102 universities across 60 cities in Türkiye. Open to all forms of visual artistic expression—including painting, sculpture, photography, installation, textile, and mixed media—the submitted works were meticulously evaluated by a selection committee composed of experts in their respective fields, based on criteria of artistic originality and technical proficiency.
Following the completion of the evaluation process, the works of 30 selected young artists were exhibited at a ceremony held on 19 December 2025 at TSKB’s headquarters in Istanbul. Our student Seçkin Çoban’s achievement of being selected for exhibition in this prestigious event stands as a concrete indication of the high-quality artistic production carried out within our faculty. We congratulate our student on this significant achievement and wish him continued success in his artistic endeavors.
