Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting aims to create its own organizational climate and contemporary equipment for the past, present and future of contemporary art. In parallel with the efforts to perpetuate its identity and mission within the infinite possibilities of art, art and design will strive to provide social interaction as well as pedagogical motivation. The Department of Painting considers contemporary and future curriculum and orientations to provide the young people of our region and our country with the mental and experiential environments of aesthetics, creativity and artistic personality formations of art and design. For this purpose, it wishes to make the theoretical and practical processes of art homogeneous and to make it felt in artistic creations.
Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting education-teaching process consists of eight (8) semesters. In the first and second semester, students take courses on basic design and common theoretical courses. From the second semester to the eighth semester, a total of six semester painting studio courses are mainly given. In addition, other materials of painting are supported by studio courses related to technical and technological content. In the second and third year, in addition to the theoretical courses taken, elective theoretical and practical courses are given. In the last year, the student focuses on exhibitions and especially on graduation project activities as performance of artistic maturation. The graduates of the Department of Painting will be able to demonstrate and demonstrate critical approaches to art works such as awareness of art history, general culture and knowledge of field, social and communication skills, self-confidence, and ability to have national and international representation skills. In addition, domestic educational research trips are organized to support students' artistic development.
